Automotive Technology Diploma Program
The Automotive Technology (pre-apprenticeship) diploma program will prepare you for your career as an automotive technician, automotive mechanic, and automotive service technician by delivering the basics of automotive service and repair. The Automotive Technology program is a blend of theory and practice with an emphasis on practical hands-on learning delivered in our 2000 square foot on-site workshop, and is delivered by our dedicated industry experienced instructors.
*Automotive Technology Diploma is approved as a vocational program under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005
Students will learn the terminology and application of automotive mechanic tools, the operational theory, principles and functions of all automotive engineering systems and the importance of compliance with the industry health and safety regulations. As well, students will gain an understanding of the importance of providing excellent customer service; communicating effectively and the routine tasks involved in the daily operation of an automotive service technician business.

Employment Opportunities and Related Job Positions
Graduates may gain employment in motor vehicle dealers, garages, truck and trailer dealerships, fleet maintenance companies, automotive technician service stations, automotive mechanic specialty shops, transportation companies and retail establishments which have automotive service shops.
Admission Requirements:
- An Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, or
- Students are 18 years of age or older and pass the program entrance examination
Program Duration: 32 weeks (8 months)
Graduation Requirements:
- Completion of all program subjects with a minimum grade of 60% per subject.
Special Requirements:
- Safety shoes are required to enter all mechanical shop areas
