The Accounting program curriculum combines instructor led lectures and computer based learning. It supports active learning strategies by using case studies to demonstrate the connection between theory and practice. Evaluation methods include written and practical examinations as well as computer based projects and assignments.

Career Description: Accounting and related clerks calculate, prepare and process bills, invoices, accounts payable and receivable, budgets and other financial records according to established procedures.1 Industry relevant transferable skills include attention to detail; organizational skills; problem solving; critical thinking; mathematical aptitude; communication; computer and typing skills.

Admission Requirements:
- An Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, OR
- Students are 18 years of age or older and pass the program entrance examination
Program Duration: 26 weeks (6 months)
Graduation Requirements:
- A minimum grade of 60% must be achieved to pass each module in the program.
