Ozone Depletion Prevention Training (ODP)
Stanford's Ozone Depleting Prevention Training course is provided for whom involved in handing, storing, transporting, working or disposing of refrigerants or similar substances used in refrigeration processes require this certification in Ontario. Our course is based on Environment Canada's Code of Practice for Reducing CFC Emissions in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems. It deals with environmentally correct equipment design, proper handling of CFC/HCFC/HFC and will prepare the participants for complying with provincial regulations covering refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Participants who attend the one day course and successfully achieve a mark of 75% or better on the exam will be eligible to receive certification in the form on an Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) wallet size card (Ontario only) or an Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS) card (all other provinces).Cardholders must renew their cards through HRAI every five (5) years.

You must have an Ozone Depletion Prevention Card (ODP) to service and repair refrigeration equipment and to purchase and handle refrigerants.
